Lisbon Ocenarium

Lisbon Ocenarium is located in the Parque das Nações and is the largest indoor aquarium in Europe.

It has two exhibitions:

Permanent Exhibition – This is a large main aquarium, holding 5 million litres of seawater. This exhibition features terrestrial and marine ecosystems, as well as the temperate, tropical and cold waters of the Earth’s oceans.This exhibition has birds, invertebrates, fishes, amphibians, mammals,plant and algae

Temporary Exhibition – The Oceanário de Lisboa’s temporary exhibition, “Forests Underwater by Takashi Amano” features tropical forests inside a magnificent aquarium.

How to Reach:

It is near Vasco d’ Gama shopping mall and can be reached by bus, metro or taxi.  One can take a red line and get down at Oriente or Cabo Ruivo station. From there it is at a walking distance.

Timings – Open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. (Last entry 6 p.m)
